Taco Soup

1 lb hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
16-oz can corn
1 can kidney beans, drained
28-oz can crushed tomatoes
8-oz can tomato sauce
1 pkg taco seasoning

1. Brown hamburger & onion.

2. Mix all ingredients in large soup pot & simmer for 30-40 minutes.

3. Serve with tortilla chips & grated cheese. Also good with cornbread.

4. You could put this in the crockpot & simmer on “low” all day.

* I’ve found that I like this soup with the following changes:
1) Don’t drain the corn.
2) NO tomato sauce. Use V-8.

I linked to you through a comment on Jill's blog then saw your menu for this week and came here. I am going to give this a try this week for sure since I have all the ingredients and am trying to finish off this pay period cooking out of our pantry/freezer. Can't wait!

This was good- I didn't do it with the V-8 because I didn't have it on hand but can totally tell it would make a great difference. Thanks!
