Crockpot Swiss Steak and Gravy

from my Mom, included are her notes

6 beef cubed steaks
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 small onion, chopped
1 jar sliced mushrooms, undrained [6 oz ]
2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup

[I double the amount of soup, or at least add one more can; I also use 1 can golden mushroom and one can cream of mushroom instead of 2 cans golden mushroom. I brown the steaks first because I like the color better; it also can decrease the cooking time but don’t if you don’t want to].

Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Place meat in crockpot, adding onions and undrained mushrooms between layers. Pour soup over meat.

Cover and cook on low heat 7-8 hours or till beef is tender.

My husband saw this and decided he had to try it. The nice thing was that he made it for us for dinner. I didn't have to cook! Thanks.

I have a message for the webmaster/admin here at sprinklesandtwinkles.blogspot.com.

May I use some of the information from your blog post above if I provide a link back to this website?

Thanks,
